General Student Enrollment Information
We are so excited that you are considering Camino Montessori! The Board and I are extremely dedicated to our mission of providing an authentic (tuition free) Montessori elementary program for the students and families of the Maricopa area. The next few years will certainly bring “trail-blazing” experiences as we continue to grow & develop our Preschool-6th grade programs. We look forward to an active and engaging partnership with our students and families as we work together to make our vision of an authentic Montessori school choice a reality.
Our primary goal for our student enrollment process is to ensure that our prospective parents are able to make an informed choice when considering Camino Montessori for their child. We view this process as the beginning of a long-term partnership between your family and the school. Student enrollment is based on many factors, the most important being whether or not the student, family, and school are a “good fit” for each other. We strive to provide a reflective and supportive process of collaboration in all areas of operation, beginning with our enrollment process.
Because Montessori education is non-traditional in many ways, it is important that parents have a good understanding of our core values, philosophy and instructional methods. The enrollment interviews with prospective parents and students help us ensure that the family’s educational philosophy, goals & objectives align with those of our school. These interviews also give us an opportunity to begin to gain an understanding of the unique interests, talents and challenges of the enrolling student.
